Corporate Design – An Important Part of the Corporate Identity

by | Dec 26, 2017 | Design

Corporate design and corporate identity are often confused. Or the two terms are used synonymously, although they do not mean the same thing. For us and our customers, one of the key differences is that the web designer cannot “make” a corporate identity. Incorporate design, however, we can support you in many ways and bring your company forward.

What is Part of Corporate Identity, what about Corporate Design:

Corporate Identity design services are the corporate identity that simply includes everything. That makes up the organization all departments, employees, company history and philosophy, management, corporate behavior and goals, internal and external communication, locations, development and production, marketing and sales. And of course, that makes up all the offers, products, and services. Identity is a very broad and inclusive term for both a person and a company.

Corporate design is the corporate image – more specifically, everything that can be done to design and present the look. And this also includes a lot, e.g.:

  • The company logo (logo, wordmark, trademark, trademark)
  • Corporate colors and their implementation in various areas
  • The company’s typefaces/fonts (corporate typography)
  • External and internal graphics and communication design (corporate graphic design), design guidelines and design grid (including layout, placement / environment of the logo, size and quantity ratio and weighting of texts, images and videos in visual media) as well as themes, choice of words, style and sound in PR campaigns, slogans, campaigns, commercials, etc. (Corporate Language / Corporate Communication).

Professional corporate identity design package represents the company identity in the company’s sense and ensures clear identification, high recognition value, strong points of reference and clear messages. These connections or interfaces allow both employees and old or new customers to identify with the company or specific sub-divisions – an important prerequisite for new contacts, stable relationships, trust and good communication.

Corporate Design is More Than a Great Logo:

The development or revision of the corporate design is an exciting, challenging and versatile task. The design must be logical so that it can carry the corporate identity to the outside and make it visible, tangible and comprehensible as desired. In order to dress something as comprehensive as a corporate identity in pictures and colors, signs and words, the web designer needs not only design skill, sense of style and a knack for aesthetics, but first of all information about the company and its self-image.
